PAINT FROM YOUR IMAGINATION

Experimenting with digital brushes is something I always stress when I teach because it is SO important to know what your brushes can actually do!  Have fun, play around and see where those brushes can take you. Put down your photographic references and paint from your heart!

This painting SUMMER STORM evolved just from dragging a brush or 2 across my digital canvas.  First I painted.  Then I went one step further and added a canvas texture from my BOHEMIAN CANVAS COLLECTION which you can find on my website paintedtextures.com

PULLING AN IMAGE OUT OF THE BACKGROUND WITH DIGITAL PAINT

Creating a simple background and then pulling an image through is so much fun and relatively easy.  This will be demoed in my new workshop PAINTER X3 FOR PHOTOGRAPHERS coming in September!  Right now you can pre-order the course for $89 on my website:

Now I decided to paint one of the original flower images that I had textured last week.  This time I was working in Painter, a sophisticated software for digital painting.
